Has anyone ever tried skiijoring or sledding (on a smaller scale - no pun intended) with a couple of Shiba Inu's? They are very strong for their size and love to run. It seems like it would be a great fit but I'm hoping someone has some input based on experience....?

Hello kryptnt-
In my opinion, any athletic dog that likes to run and pull can be good at skijoring or sledding. I don't have any experience with Shiba Inu's specifically, so I am just talking in general here...

Putting an effective sled team together with only a handful smaller dogs may be a challenge. You will not go very far very quickly without enough dog power up front.

Maybe a better option, if you are talking about just two smaller dogs, is to try skijoring, bikejoring or scootering with them. That way you can help the team more, by skiing, peddaling or pushing off, and you will be able to cover a bit more ground at a reasonable speed.

Let us know if you need any more help!
